Christ the King does not have its own resident priest at present, but is part of the parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Adur Valley.


Sunday Masses

There is one Sunday Mass at Christ the King, at 11am, with a mixed congregation. There is a good atmosphere at our Mass and visitors are always very welcome. There is coffee afterwards in the St Cuthman Room.


Weekday Services


Tuesday— Mass at 10.00am


Thursday— Mass at 10.00am


There is Mass on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Shoreham, and every day except Sunday (though there is a 5.30pm Saturday vigil Mass) at The Towers Convent.

Altar Servers

We have good teams of altar servers in the parish.

St Vincent de Paul Society

There are two conferences of the SVP in our parish, one in Steyning and one in Shoreham Both groups do quiet work helping local people in any kind of need.

Flower arrangers

The flowers are always particularly lovely at Christ the King. Please speak to Teresa Payne or Rosemary Burton.


Quilters

A rather unusual parish group is our enthusiastic quilt-making circle which meets regularly in the St Cuthman Room.


Ramblers

A group goes walking regularly on a Wednesday, usually beginning at the church. New walkers welcome.


Church Cleaning

If you would be willing to join the rota, please have a word with Barbara Fisher (in the choir).


Steyning is very blessed to have its own
saint, from Saxon times, called St Cuthman. You can read something about him here.
